I went on another trip. This time to Svalbard (or Spitsbergen as most of you will know it). The booking company here in The Netherlands (bbi-travel) messed up big time. I still managed to have a relaxing holiday though. Pictures are here.

Who needs this?

Everybody who is tired of the delay in the gethostbyname() function.

What is it exactly?

When using a custom library for DNS lookups, the app will no longer lock up when it's trying to get the hostname by a certain IP address. The hostname will be cached also, so next time the name is requested it will not do the lookup again.
